This behind the scenes content can often be a step away from the dazzling lights that are associated with the life of an idol. This content often comes in the form of vlogs, showing relatable, everyday moments that practically anyone can experience. It can also give us the feeling that our favorite idols are just like the rest of us. We previously released an article on some of these YouTube content by K-Pop idols, but there are much more! So here’s part two of K-Pop idol vlogs you should definitely check out.
1. TREASURE - “TMI_LOG”
The TMI in “TMI_LOG” does not stand for ’too much information’. Instead, it’s an acronym for ‘TREASURE MAKER Interaction’. The short reality series allows the boys of TREASURE to share various aspects of their life with their fans, TREASURE MAKER. Sometimes it can be solo vlogs like Choi HyunSuk enjoying an amusement park date with his younger sister. Other times, it can be two members hanging out, like Haruto and JunKyu when they met up to eat and make rings. Since they’re a bigger group, it’s nice to see each member receive the spotlight, whether individually or in pairs.
2. VIXX’ N - “Today’s Record”
Not every vlog needs to be high tension and filled with action in order to be exciting. VIXX’ N proves that through “Today’s Record”. Without really saying any words and coupled with soft, relaxing background music, the idol’s videos showcase him baking, acting on set, and even repotting a plant. It’s aesthetic, chill, and a source of well-needed comfort after a long, tiring day.
3. ENHYPEN - “EN-loG”
On stage ENHYPEN exert a cool, mesmerizing aura that make you only focus on them. But through “EN-loG” they show their duality and have a relaxed, sometimes even chaotic side to them, especially when together with other members. Their most recent video shows this perfectly as Jay calmly makes dinner while JungWon and Sunoo loudly play in the indoor pool. From going to a shooting range to spending time at home, there are various types of content that showcase the each members’ unique personality.
4. EXO’s Kai - “KAIst”
Kai shows us that he is not just a top idol but a normal human being just like the rest of us. While there is backstage footage of him at recording shows and attending award ceremonies, he also showcases his various interests too. From woodworking to horseback riding, to even everyday activities such as working out, his videos act as a bridge to his fans. “KAIst” shows that even a global superstar like Kai orders takeout and eats at home just like the rest of us.
5. BIGBANG’s DaeSung - “D’splay”
In the beginning, the superstar idol only uploaded videos of drum covers and hilarious Lego skits which he used to practice English and Japanese words. Thankfully, DaeSung ventured into the world of vlogging to give a sneak peek into his everyday life. While he does not show his face, the world renowned idol shows videos of him eating delicious meals, taking solo trips to the countryside, and even workouts on the treadmill. All this content coupled with quirky editing and hilarious commentary make his videos an utter joy to watch.
6. iKON’s Chan - “ChanWoo’s Life”
Although currently, iKON’s Chan has decided to take a break from vlogging to recharge and think of more content to film for his fans, there are still many videos to watch on his YouTube channel. His videos show the idol enjoying his everyday life, both on and off stage. From going on trips with friends to playing badminton, and even videos with his fellow members, you are able to see various sides to the iKON maknae. He might seem reserved at first, but Chan shows that he’s overflowing with charm and a special humor that you can’t help but smile and laugh.
7. ASTRO
The successful idol group’s YouTube channel is filled with countless videos of various contents. With videos of ASTRO playing games, behind the scenes of music show performances, and vlogs of the members’ daily lives, there is enough content for everyone. They show off their fun, quirky personalities as they interact with the camera and their fellow members. This makes every video a treat to watch and can surely turn anyone into an AROHA in no time.
