So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias. Reesam from Saudi Arabia is the next fan to answer our questions. She is a fan of NINE.i, and particularly of Vahn. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more! Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from? Hello, my name is Reesam. I am also known as Res from Saudi Arabia. I’m 19 years old. I’m Vahn stan. How and when did you enter the fandom? I was supporting Vahn since he was a trainer in Happyface company because I was interested. Then he took me to a lot of places like when he was a contestant in “Under Nineteen” until his debut. What are the reasons why this rookie group is your favorite group? In fact, I can tell everyone that they are really good at dancing watching their pre-debut covers they are passionate and strong. They also have their own self-produced album and perfect stages. They’re amazing. What do you think differentiates this rookie group from the others? We have 10 members and all of them are full of energy and strength. They have a youthful feel and fresh passion. I think their souls are what makes them special. Also, they have a unique kind of vocal. They are so cute you just want to know them more and more. For the readers who are completely new to the group and members, can you introduce them with your own words? Hello everyone, NINE.i (나인아이) is a 10-member Korean boy group under FirstOne Entertainment. They debuted on March 30, 2022. The album was made by Vahn who is one member of the group, the title track is called ‘Parallel Universe’. Every song in this album has a story that supports youth people and their dreams I hope you will support this talented group 💜!! Who caught your attention at first and why? Did you know any members prior to their debut? Seo Won he’s a good dancer, and Eden because of his voice so beautiful. Also JiHo, the youngest member, takes care of his members and buys them bananas milk, which makes me think he’s cute- Do you have a bias yet? If yes, tell us why. I can say Vahn is my bias. Because he worked really hard on producing an entire album and writing the lyrics. He’s an amazing dancer and before debut, he was a rapper then he turned into a main vocal! He’s handsome as well. He’s good on all points! Talented Vahn I hope he gets everyone’s attention. All the members are amazing too it’s hard to choose (difficult decision). What do you particularly like in this debut title track? Do you have a favorite B-side? For the title track, I like that the song is strong and powerful. The dance is designed to describe the words well in terms of night and day. I think the choreography should get more attention considered and how it contains a lot of details and also the chorus is the best part. I love all of the album’s songs but ‘Intro’ wrote in English and I find it cute for international fans. ‘Beauty Inside’: It’s a song that means a lot to me. It’s about someone who always stops in front of the mirror to look at himself who worked hard to change it for the better but it doesn’t change. That means the inner beauty can’t be changed and it stays in your heart ♥️ Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or other from your favorite group or bias? I recommend this dance cover, it’s powerful. Also ‘Beauty Inside’ debut stage, you can feel their energy !! Vahn’s fancam, the most handsome guy. What are the things you are looking for in their future activities? I would love to see them on K-TV shows like “Weekly Idol” and “Running Man”. They have a really fun youthful spirit I also hope for a reality show, also “Immortal Songs”, “Masked Singer”, “Amazing Saturday”, and new music & stage’s as well ☺️. Are there any words from the members you would like to share? “I’m running to you i.ENIN” Vahn on FAB, he’s working on a new album to comeback soon as possible!! Fighting NINE.i . What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc? I like concepts that have a story also sexy powerful something like vampires ~ What is your best souvenir with your favorite group until now? NINE.i has just debuted so we don’t have moments like this yet. But I’m thinking about what Vahn said after all his fansign that he’s sorry if he doesn’t speak well because he’s so nervous. He’s so cute. I felt touched and loyal to meet him. Can you recommend words that your bias like to hear to new fans who don’t know yet about it? Your music is wonderful! I loved your music! You are amazing! You’re handsome! Can you share with readers the first ever picture you’ve saved of your bias on your phone? Yes! Vahn “Under Nineteen” the cutest. For me, my bias is … (ex: my role model, my best friend, my friend, my life teacher, my lover, etc)

What’s your favourite 2022 moment involving your bias? He’s first VLive with JeWon and JooHyoung was so funny they tried all VLive filters and they even searched how to use it😂. What is a random fact that you think people don’t know about them? The youngest member was born in 2004. And It is their company’s first idol group! Name a variety show/content show that you would love to see your bias on? “Arcade pang ASMR”! I think it will be so fun to see what he would do in that situation 😂. Also “Battle Trip”, I want to see him enjoy his time on a trip. If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together? I would like to do something to remember something unforgettable! Like a concert! Enjoyable trip! Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias? In ‘Parallel Universe’ debut week behind ep.1. TaeHun was happy with his bubble tea but Vahn almost dropped it, so TaeHun was sad. Then Vahn said “So bubble tea is more expensive than your big brother?” It was so funny 😭😭. Name 1 quality in your bias that you wish you had. Passion! Vahn has learned to produce songs on his own at home, without taking lessons, having such a passion like this I really want it!!! Is there some food you saw your bias group eat that made you crave it too? Yes, I saw them talking about malatang. It’s kind of Chinese food? So really want to give it a try!!! Also, Seo Won talks a lot about strawberries latte, I wonder what does it taste like? If your bias were to collab with another idol, who do you think would be best? VAHN X B.I!!! I really hope that happens. Or VAHN X RAVN (ONEUS). I think they have a similar artistic flair. What is the biggest mystery about your favourite idol? The meaning of his tattoo. He has a beautiful tattoo on his arm and I wonder if there is a meaning behind it, Reesam’s message to Vahn: Hello Vahn, I’m your i.ENIN Res.
